NoSQL and Hadoop - A Marriage Made in Heaven?
NoSQL and Big Data are conflated – many view them as synonyms. But the problems these technologies address are quite different. While hadoop "the Big Data poster child", is focused on data analysis, NoSQL tech focuses on delivering operational data management for modern web and mobile apps; the Big User problem. In this presentation, we will explore why every NoSQL deployment should be paired with Hadoop by exploring some real-life use-cases.

Don Pinto is a Product Manager at Couchbase and is currently focused on advancing the server capabilities of Couchbase Server. He is extremely passionate about data technology and in the past, has authored several articles on Couchbase Server including technical blogs and whitepapers.
