WebAssembly Overview
In this session you’ll learn about WebAssembly: what is it, what problems it solves, how it works, and what makes it secure. That last point about security is an important one because that’s one area that gives many people pause when hearing the words ‘native code’ or that C++ can be used. Immediately, we have flash backs of plugins and pointers.

Gerard is a professional software developer with more than 25 years of full-stack experience. In 2021 he took over the AWS Systems Architect responsibilities at Dovico and assumed the CIO role. He's a huge fan of WebAssembly having written the book "WebAssembly in Action", did the technical review of "Server-Side WebAssembly", and has spoken on and written a number of articles on the subject. Most recently, Gerard founded SDA Bytes to help organizations with their employee training.
