Inside Cinematic UX Design

Modern website design has expanded beyond the traditional page model. "The movies" are a source of inspiration for a new generation of websites such as interactive music videos. Discover the cinematic language used by filmmakers to deliver emotional experiences, and see code that makes it work. The examples, including JQuery effects, CSS3 animations, and the HTML5 Canvas, will demonstrate how to deliver content for maximum emotional impact.

David Kelleher

Emerson College

David Kelleher is an Emerson College affiliated professor, multimedia artist, and freelance PHP/MySQL and UX developer with 15 years of industry experience. He loves the intersection of the arts and emerging technologies, working on projects like a juggling gesture interface for electronic music theater and an interactive overhead video canopy.
As an educator, he created the web curriculum for multiple colleges and institutions in the Boston area. David is also a co-organizer of Northeast PHP.
