How SOA Makes Moving to the Cloud Easier
At nytimes.com, we have been migrating many new applications and platforms onto Amazon's EC2 infrastructure. By moving towards a service oriented approach to communication between platforms and systems, we have been able to accelerate this process. In this talk, we will cover the hurdles of moving to a service based approach as well as how doing so lessens many other infrastructure concerns and allows flexibility on determining server environments.

Paul was part of the core team that helped move NYTimes.com to a service-oriented architecture. He advocates a platform-agnostic approach to development, where data is central and allows for multiple presentations of content.
