I have never shipped software on a release train. Eight apps, multiple services, a deploy every few commits. I will show the structural choices continuous deployment forces on you: a version per app, forward-only fixes, schema changes split across two deploys, env flags instead of rollbacks. Also where it truly costs more, like migrations and device firmware. You will leave knowing what to change first, and what it will not fix.
