A Text Box Is Never Just a Text Box: Rich Editing
Session en Anglais - Intermédiaire
Rich text is not a control; it is a small platform hiding in a rectangle. Drawing on my Uno Platform RichEditBox work and writing app, Storylines, I'll follow a keystroke through input, document model, layout and rendering. We'll examine IME composition, selection, touch handles, undo, scrolling and accessibility. Attendees will leave with a practical model for what to share, what to make native and where text bugs hide.
I Compared Cross-Platform Frameworks. Then I Built Two.
Session en Anglais - Intermédiaire
I used to give framework-comparison talks with feature tables and winners. Then I started working on .NET MAUI and Uno Platform, and the questions changed. Using real bugs and public pull requests, I'll compare native and drawn UI, control ownership and accessibility-tree mismatches. Attendees will leave with practical questions for choosing or maintaining a cross-platform stack after the demo stops being impressive.
